A DAY IN THE LIFE of a Member Representative II

The Auto Club Group is in search of Member Representative II professionals who can effectively promote ACG products and services, enhance customer satisfaction, and engage in office initiatives to boost revenue through increased member awareness. As a representative of our branch, you will welcome customers and provide them with peace of mind by addressing their needs.

  • Deliver exceptional support services to members related to sales and service functions, including managing insurance policies, processing applications, renewals, and amendments, as well as selling travel, tours, airline tickets, and membership products.
  • Generate leads, inform members about travel and insurance promotions, and provide travel-related information.
  • Offer cashiering services to members, including processing insurance payments (initial, installment, lapse, or reinstatement), travel and membership payments, ticket sales, and travel money products, along with managing cash drawer balances.
  • Address customer inquiries and refer to agents when necessary.
  • Provide administrative support to Travel and Insurance Agents during peak times.
  • Assist customers through sales processing activities and aid management in training less experienced staff.
  • Conduct outbound promotional calls for insurance and/or travel products.
  • Collaborate in a team setting to enhance customer satisfaction and maintain consistent service following the customer service model.
  • Handle and resolve member/customer complaints, seeking management assistance when needed.
  • Participate in office events designed to generate revenue, raise member awareness of products, and support local community initiatives.
  • Perform other assigned duties as required.

WE SEEK CANDIDATES WHO

Required Qualifications:

  • Active State Property & Casualty license.
  • If you do not have the State Property & Casualty license, ACG will assist candidates in obtaining the necessary license.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

Work Experience:

  • Delivering high-quality customer-focused service.
  • Managing insurance policies and processing applications, renewals, and amendments, as well as handling payments.
  • Responding to billing and coverage inquiries.
  • Promoting the sale of insurance products and/or travel and membership offerings.
  • Conducting outbound promotional calls for insurance and/or travel.
  • Proficiency in computer software applications (Word, Excel, etc.) and web-based operations.

Successful candidates will demonstrate:

  • Knowledge of insurance and travel terminology.
  • Understanding of general insurance and/or travel regulations.
  • Familiarity with underwriting procedures.
  • Awareness of sales regulatory and compliance guidelines.
  • Experience with travel systems (e.g., Focal Point, Viewpoint, ITT, AXIS, etc.) and/or insurance systems (e.g., PPS, POS, IMS, IPM) and/or membership systems.
  • Effective communication skills (verbal and written) in a work environment.
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations for accurate monetary transactions.
  • Capability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Commitment to exceeding member expectations in professionalism, efficient customer service (both on the phone and in person), and maintaining a clean workstation and office environment.
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours, including holidays and weekends (may include community events).
  • Ability to perform under pressure in a high-volume, fast-paced customer service setting.

Work Environment

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM

Work is conducted entirely in an office environment.
