About the Job
This role will work with the General Manager to pitch and close enterprise partnership agreements, generate incremental sponsorship revenue, and uphold a culture of hard work and creativity in Blacksburg, VA.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and executing a sales plan that aligns with the company's goals.
- Identify potential sponsors through networking and research.
- Develop sales presentations and proposals that showcase the value proposition of partnering with Virginia Tech Sports Properties.
- Entertain and cultivate sponsors to build strong relationships.
- Represent the university sports property and Playfly Sports Properties professionally at all times.
- Research sports sponsorship industry trends and conditions to stay ahead of the competition.
- Prospect, meet, and close new and renewal corporate sponsorships.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 3-5 years of direct sales experience in the sports multi-media environment required.
- Experience with integrated and conceptual sales.
- Ability to generate and present ideas succinctly and provide creative solutions.
- Demonstrated professional sales presentation skills.
Additional Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk-up stairs.
- Be available for game days and evening athletic events and coaches shows.
- Be available to travel for client presentations.
Compensation and Benefits
The estimated salary for this position is $65,000 - $85,000 per year, based on industry standards and location.
