Job Summary
The Accounting Analyst is responsible for performing a variety of financial analyses, including but not limited to:
  • Cost/benefit evaluations
  • Long-term financial forecasting
  • Cost trend analysis
  • Variance assessments

  • Financial statement analysis
  • Claims and premium evaluations

These analyses support strategic planning initiatives and help drive informed decision-making within the company.

Qualifications
Education:
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related discipline is required.

Experience:
A minimum of five (5) years of experience in financial analysis is essential, or a Master's degree in a related field with at least three (3) years of relevant experience.

Essential Skills:
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel
  • Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint

Additionally, the candidate should possess excellent analytical skills and demonstrate expertise in developing and utilizing comprehensive financial models.

Key Responsibilities
The Accounting Analyst will:
  • Assist with financial reporting audits and collaborate with internal auditors and external entities.
  • Participate in special projects as assigned.
  • Analyze and review financial statements for accuracy and compliance.
  • Perform general accounting tasks, including journal entry preparation, invoice coding, and account reconciliation.
  • Prepare supporting financial data as needed.
  • Reconcile and maintain general ledger accounts.
