Job Summary

The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a highly skilled Office Manager to join the Office of Diversity, Opportunity, and Inclusion. This role will provide administrative support to the Chief Diversity Officer and other staff members, ensuring the smooth operation of the office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by greeting visitors, answering phone calls, and responding to emails.
  • Provide administrative support, including calendar management, meeting coordination, and data tracking.
  • Assist in organizing events, programs, and trainings for cadets, faculty, and staff.
  • Maintain accurate records and produce timely reports on the office budget and events.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements and process travel reimbursements.
  • Monitor the physical environment of the office and ensure equipment is in good working order.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or relevant experience.
  • Commitment to diversity, opportunity, and inclusion with an understanding of the unique challenges of historically underrepresented populations in higher education.
  • Previous administrative experience in a professional setting.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
Additional Considerations
  • Availability to work occasional nights and weekends with advance notice.
  • Experience creating and posting content for social media.
