About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Director to join our team at Cardinal Health. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for driving business growth and development through strategic partnerships, market research, and customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze market trends and customer needs to identify opportunities for business growth and development.
  • Develop and execute business strategies to maximize program value and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess strategic fit, technical feasibility, and organizational alignment.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and internal teams.
  • Develop and own the business development vision and strategy for OptiFreight, in collaboration with upstream and downstream Product Management and other business leaders.
  • Negotiate complex commercial business relationships on behalf of the company, including the development of non-standard commercial agreements.
  • Utilize strong financial acumen, analytical skills, and sound thought processes to develop business case recommendations to gain executive support and secure required investments.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of related work experience in healthcare, consulting, strategy, business development, R&D, and/or supply chain, logistics.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and communicate complex concepts in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences, including senior leadership.
  • Demonstrated experience in performing market research as well as using voice of customer, benchmarking, and market insights to develop commercial strategies to influence long-range product development roadmaps.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Results-driven, proven ability to perform and to take initiative without direct oversight and to work independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple large-scale projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen.

  • Competitive salary range: $114,700 - $185,000.
