Unlock the Power of Geospatial Technology

We're seeking a seasoned professional to join our State and Local Government account team at Esri. As a key member of our team, you'll play a crucial role in helping our customers unlock the full potential of geospatial technology.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build strong relationships with our customers and understand their unique needs and challenges.
  • Develop and implement location strategies for large, complex organizations, creating new opportunities and deepening existing relationships.
  • Participate in and present at trade shows, workshops, and seminars, showcasing the value of Esri technology.
  • Demonstrate advanced industry knowledge and its relevance to the application of GIS, identifying key stakeholders and business drivers within organizations.
  • Understand complex customer budgeting and acquisition processes, ensuring seamless execution of account management and sales processes.
  • Collaborate with teams across Esri and Esri business partners to lead account strategies, drive growth, and resolve issues.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience supporting customers in sales, consulting, or a relevant industry role.
  • Proven track record of managing the sales cycle, creating partnerships, and establishing yourself as a trusted advisor with large customers.
  • Advanced knowledge of local government and new technology trends, with the ability to translate this into complex solutions for customers.
  • Expert visual storyteller and negotiator across all levels of an organization.
  • Knowledge of industry fiscal year, budgeting, and procurement cycles.
  • Ability to travel domestically or internationally 25-50% of the time.
  • Bachelor's degree in GIS, business administration, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • General knowledge of data science or spatial analysis and its application in problem-solving and pattern recognition.
  • Master's degree in GIS, business administration, or a related field.
