Pride Health is seeking a Certified Healthcare Assistant to provide essential support within a medical facility.

This position is offered on a contract basis, with potential for extension, presenting an excellent opportunity to engage with a leading healthcare organization.

Location: Dallas, TX

Language Requirement: Bilingual

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Compensation: $17-$22.00 (Compensation will be determined based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute tasks within the Medical Assistant's purview, including operating diagnostic tools, changing wound dressings, administering non-IV medications, collecting specimens, performing EKGs, and ensuring equipment sterilization.
  • Prepare patients for examinations and maintain accurate patient care documentation.
  • Facilitate patient care as instructed by healthcare providers, upholding confidentiality and respect.
  • Organize and maintain exam rooms, adhering to infection control protocols.
  • Conduct intake screenings, assist with Standard Delegation of Orders (SDO), and carry out additional assigned responsibilities.

Required Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or GED equivalent.

2. Current, nationally recognized Medical Assistant certification or the ability to obtain certification within 180 days of employment. Newly hired Medical Assistants are expected to perform at the level of a certified Medical Assistant.

3. Current BLS certification (from an approved American Heart Association Training Center or Military Training Network) at the time of hire or within 30 days of hire.

4. Basic computer skills required, with intermediate proficiency in Excel.

5. Familiarity with medical terminology is essential.

6. Ability to respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations is necessary.

7. Strong communication and customer service skills are required.
