Astronomy Research Fellow
Position Summary:
An opportunity exists for a Research Fellow to engage in a project focused on the TOU high-resolution spectrograph and the DHARMA optical telescope under the guidance of Dr. Jason Dittmann in the Department of Astronomy. This role is available immediately and will remain open until filled.
The selected candidate will contribute to the advancement and functionality of a high-resolution optical spectrograph located in Arizona.
We seek an individual with expertise in operating high-resolution spectrographs and developing associated data processing pipelines.
This instrument is designed to conduct radial velocity assessments of stars hosting exoplanets.Qualifications:
The applicant must possess a Ph.D. in Astronomy, Astrophysics, Physics, or Computer Science by the appointment date.
Position Duration:
This position will initially be granted for one year and may be extended for an additional year based on performance and funding availability.

Preferred Experience:
Experience in the operation of high-resolution spectrographs, data reduction, and radial velocity measurements is highly desirable.
