Position Overview:
A research fellow position is currently open in the Zolotukhin Laboratory within the Division of Cell and Molecular Therapy in the Department of Pediatrics. This role is pivotal for advancing research in pediatric cellular and molecular therapies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and cultivate cell lines according to established laboratory protocols.
- Independently innovate and refine methods to resolve experimental challenges.
- Conduct molecular cloning experiments adhering to laboratory standards.
- Perform plasmid purification, primer design, RNA and DNA isolation, and real-time PCR activities with minimal supervision.
- Prepare and maintain recombinant Adeno-associated virus stocks following laboratory protocols.
- Review scientific literature to adapt and enhance methodologies aligned with research objectives.
- Maintain comprehensive laboratory records documenting research methodologies, procedures, and outcomes.
- Collaborate with the Principal Investigator (PI) on technical reports, research publications, and grant proposals.
- Assist in the preparation of figures for presentations and publications.
Compensation:
$47,476-$60,000, based on experience.
Qualifications:
Ph.D. in a relevant field of study is required. Candidates should demonstrate a strong commitment to research, along with exceptional analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in relevant research methodologies is advantageous.
