We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Postdoctoral Research Associate in Theoretical Astrophysics to join our team at the University of Florida. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to conduct research on topics related to galaxy evolution, dust in galaxies, and/or the physics of the interstellar medium.
Research Focus:
The Department of Astronomy at the University of Florida invites applications for a postdoctoral associate in theoretical/computational astrophysics to conduct research on topics related to galaxy evolution, dust in galaxies, and/or the physics of the ISM. The successful candidate will develop and analyze a new generation of galaxy evolution simulations with Dr. Desika Narayanan to further these research goals, and will be in heavy collaboration with Dr. Paul Torrey at the University of Virginia.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on topics related to galaxy evolution, dust in galaxies, and/or the physics of the ISM
- Develop and analyze new generation of galaxy evolution simulations
- Collaborate with Dr. Desika Narayanan and Dr. Paul Torrey on research projects
- Present research findings at conferences and workshops
Requirements:
- Ph.D. in Astronomy, Physics, or a related field
- Strong background in theoretical astrophysics and computational methods
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
