Position Overview | Ideal Candidate Profile

The perfect candidate will possess extensive experience across various environmental project types and scales, covering all phases from assessment to remediation. Familiarity with NJDEP/LSRP projects is essential. Proven experience in project and task management is also necessary, including collaboration with management, clients, contractors, and project teams. We seek a candidate with a proactive approach. The successful applicant will work collaboratively with both junior and senior staff on projects of differing sizes and complexities.

Key Responsibilities

Main duties will involve the execution and oversight of both technical and administrative elements of environmental remediation projects, alongside staff management and client communication.

Additional responsibilities encompass developing project scopes and cost estimates, directing and supervising soil, groundwater, and vapor intrusion investigations, managing data, and producing technical reports.

Required Experience

  • 6 to 12 years of experience in remedial investigations and the design and execution of remedial actions.
  • In-depth knowledge of NJDEP regulations and statutes (e.g., SRRA/LSRP, ARRCS, and TRSR), relevant technical guidance documents, regulatory timelines, documentation/reporting requirements, and SRP regulatory forms. Experience with Superfund projects and PADEP environmental regulations is advantageous.
  • Strong focus on exceptional technical writing skills, ensuring clear and concise communication of complex information.

  • Willingness to work at construction/remediation sites during adverse weather conditions if necessary.
  • Ability and flexibility to travel to various project sites.

Education and Certification Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in physical or natural sciences, engineering, or geology.
  • An MS degree with a multi-disciplinary technical background is preferred.
  • 40-Hour OSHA Hazwoper Training with Annual 8-Hour Refresher is required.
  • Valid Driver's License and Auto Insurance are necessary.
