Position Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Project Manager who will take charge of:

  • Serving as the principal technical authority in various mechanical engineering domains
  • Overseeing and mentoring assigned engineers throughout project phases, offering technical support, training, and guidance to junior staff
  • Executing essential calculations, modeling, engineering tasks, and conducting code research
  • Facilitating peer reviews, providing technical supervision, and ensuring quality assurance of the design team's outputs
  • Managing projects directly by consistently evaluating plans and timelines to guarantee adherence to schedules and budgets
  • Coordinating and leading both internal and external client meetings, ensuring all action items are recorded and addressed
  • Collaborating with all stakeholders involved in projects, including internal teams, external clients, and subcontractors

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in engineering power infrastructure projects, including central utility plants, combined heat and power systems, distributed generation, and microgrids
  • Expertise in specifying and integrating industrial frame combustion turbines, internal combustion engines, heat recovery systems, packaged boilers, chillers, heat pumps, cooling systems, pumps, and balance of plant mechanical equipment
  • Experience in engineering biogas to energy and renewable natural gas is highly regarded
  • Familiarity with engineering building and industrial HVAC systems is advantageous
  • Knowledge of ground-coupled geothermal systems is a plus
  • Thorough understanding of local, state, and national code requirements is essential
  • Comprehensive knowledge of electrical, controls, structural, civil, and architectural discipline requirements is crucial
