Facilities Operations Leader

Location: Plainsboro, NJ, US

As a Facilities Operations Leader, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the daily functioning of our plant with a focus on quality assurance. You will lead a dedicated team, with opportunities for advancement into Supply Chain Management, directly influencing the quality of our offerings and contributing to meaningful improvements in people's lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fostering a proactive safety culture with the conviction that all incidents can be avoided.
  • Overseeing mechanical and instrumentation & electrical maintenance teams, as well as external contractors, to ensure safe and efficient maintenance practices within the facility.
  • Guiding the team in executing equipment repairs and serving as the primary liaison with technical experts, facilitating daily and weekly scheduling discussions to ensure smooth communication and execution of work plans.
  • Establishing systems and benchmarks for ongoing enhancement and reliability.
  • Developing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) based on analytical data and departmental objectives.
  • Coordinating work plans related to capital project installations, maintenance, and repairs within your area of responsibility, including scheduling and resource allocation.

Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience, ideally in a chemical or food/beverage manufacturing setting, or a bachelor's degree in engineering or a related discipline.
  • Familiarity with LEAN Manufacturing principles and sanitation practices, preferably in a perfumery or food/beverage context. Relevant certifications such as Universal CFC certification and any necessary local or state licenses.
  • Proficient in using personal computers and/or PDAs for work order systems, email, and training, with basic skills in Microsoft Office Outlook. Physical demands include the ability to stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs/ladders, and lift/carry loads of 50 lbs or more.
  • Capability to remain on your feet for 75-85% of a shift.
  • Ability to ascend ladders and stairs up to the second or third floor.
  • Mandatory use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
