Culinary Supervisor

The Culinary Supervisor plays a crucial role in delivering outstanding dining experiences to guests by ensuring that all food prepared meets the highest standards of quality. Key responsibilities include mentoring new team members, preparing meals for special events and daily service, and effectively communicating with staff to manage food orders and responsibilities. Additionally, this position supports the Kitchen Manager in menu development and other essential tasks, stepping in as needed to maintain operational efficiency while adhering to all sanitation protocols as per established guidelines. This role may also encompass other duties as assigned by the department manager.
Compensation: Salaried Pay Rate: DOE.

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Culinary education is preferred.
- A minimum of two years of cooking experience in a full-service restaurant is required.
- Proficiency in fish preparation, cutting, sautéing, grilling, steaming, and crafting various sauces is essential.
- Ability to efficiently manage up to thirty-five orders simultaneously when necessary.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to train and mentor others.
- A valid food handler's card from the appropriate state is mandatory.
- Must be capable of standing for extended periods exceeding 8 hours.
- Ability to lift items weighing up to 40 pounds.
- Mobility to navigate stairs regularly.
- Must be able to work in an environment with smoke exposure.
- Availability to work all scheduled shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and holidays.
