Position Overview:
The Site Operations Supervisor for Repairs plays a crucial role in the Repairs Program, serving as the primary representative on-site. This individual possesses exceptional communication skills, organizational capabilities, and technical expertise to manage a repairs site effectively and safely. They actively engage in site operations, demonstrating leadership through hands-on involvement.

Key Responsibilities:


Manage the repair site(s) by coordinating the mobilization of vehicles and equipment, gathering essential materials, initiating site operations, executing or overseeing tasks, maintaining site cleanliness, securing the site upon completion, and returning all vehicles and equipment to the designated warehouse.

Lead and perform various tasks, including carpentry, excavation, concrete work, minor plumbing, and electrical tasks, to ensure project progression.


Collaborate with the Repairs Manager and Repairs Project Manager to plan and monitor labor, materials, and equipment utilization for each project.

Provide training and supervision to junior staff members, including Assistants, Apprentices, and AmeriCorps volunteers.

Foster positive relationships with homeowners, subcontractors, and team members.

Ensure the secure storage of all vehicles, tools, and equipment during non-working hours.

Maintain and clean vehicles, tools, and equipment regularly.

Support Habitat for Humanity and the construction team with additional projects as required.

Qualifications:
A minimum of 1 year of full-time experience in residential construction, particularly in modifications or repairs of older homes.

Essential Skills:
Proficiency with common carpentry tools.

Solid understanding of basic framing and finish carpentry techniques.

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and the ability to operate Habitat vehicles.

Willingness to work at heights and in confined spaces such as roofs, attics, and crawlspaces.

Capability and eagerness to train and supervise individuals with limited construction experience.

Personal Attributes:
Ability to work in diverse weather conditions.
