About the Role

Cisco is seeking a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineer to join our Cloud Operations team. As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of our cloud-based services.

You will work closely with our TechOps team in Bangalore, Cisco Spaces Dev team, and QA teams to design, build, and maintain scalable and fault-tolerant systems. Your expertise in container orchestration tools such as AWS ECS and Kubernetes, automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, Git, Jenkins, and monitoring tools like Datadog, CloudWatch, Grafana, and Prometheus will be essential in this role.

You will also be responsible for operating, maintaining, and improving all aspects of the FedRAMP Cloud and acting as a point of contact for the Bangalore TechOps team. The FedRAMP standards adhere to NIST control policies and procedures, with regular self- and external audits to verify compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable and fault-tolerant systems
  • Use container orchestration tools such as AWS ECS and Kubernetes
  • Automate repetitive tasks using tools like Terraform, Ansible, Git, and Jenkins
  • Monitor system performance using tools like Datadog, CloudWatch, Grafana, and Prometheus
  • Act as a point of contact for the Bangalore TechOps team

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science
  • 4+ years of experience in container orchestration tools and automation tools
  • Good working knowledge of Linux OS internals
  • Experience in databases like GraphDB, Postgres, Cassandra, and InfluxDB
  • Deep understanding of public cloud environment - AWS Cloud as well as Cloud Security and Compliance
