Position Overview

The Senior Welding Specialist plays a pivotal role in overseeing intricate welding assignments, guiding less experienced technicians, and upholding exceptional quality benchmarks. Core Responsibilities

  • Execute advanced welding operations utilizing MIG, TIG, and arc welding technologies.
  • Direct the organization and preparation of welding initiatives, ensuring streamlined processes.
  • Guarantee compliance with safety protocols and industry regulations.
  • Perform thorough assessments and non-destructive evaluations to confirm weld integrity.
  • Conduct maintenance and sophisticated diagnostics on welding apparatus.
  • Interpret and analyze complex schematics and technical documents.
  • Guide and educate Welding Technician I and II staff, imparting knowledge and best practices.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers, project leaders, and other relevant parties to ensure project efficacy.
  • Propose enhancements to processes to boost productivity and quality.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; advanced technical certification or associate degree is advantageous.
  • Minimum of 5 years of welding expertise.
  • Proficient in MIG, TIG, and arc welding techniques.
  • Ability to comprehend and interpret highly detailed schematics and technical illustrations.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.
  • Exceptional problem-solving aptitude and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and collaborative skills.
  • Capacity to handle multiple projects and adhere to stringent deadlines.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to lift weights up to 100 pounds.
  • Capability to remain standing for extended durations.
  • Exposure to typical welding environment conditions such as noise, dust, and fumes.
