Account Executive Job Description

An employer is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Account Executive to join their team in the Central Valley, CA area. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving business development through door knocking, cold calling, lead generation, and demand generation to establish connections between the company and clients.

This role requires a strong sales mindset, excellent communication skills, and a passion for the field of sales and telecom. The Account Executive will be trained and coached on the company's services to ensure success in this position. The role will involve 80% door knocking and cold calling, with opportunities to work in uncharted territory and move up quickly in the role.

Required Skills & Experience
  • 3+ years' experience in sales, specifically managing business accounts in either a sales or customer service environment
  • 1+ year of practical, hands-on experience canvassing or cold-calling small and medium-sized business customers
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work within Microsoft Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Must be able to work independently, with minimal supervision
  • Excellent detail orientation and follow-through skills
  • Strong discretionary skills, as this position will have access to and work with information of a confidential nature
  • Frequent to continuous driving, walking, bending, and reaching
  • Occasional exposure to inclement weather
  • Occasional to frequent exposure to uneven surfaces, hills, stairs, heights
  • Occasional use of standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, copiers, etc.
  • Frequent to extensive local travel
  • Possesses a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record per the company's standards
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds on a frequent basis (sales materials)
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
  • Experience in fiber internet, voice, or telecom fields

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
