Position Overview
We are currently looking for a Staff Accountant to become a vital part of our team. In this role, you will be responsible for processing and overseeing financial transactions, analyzing financial data, and preparing comprehensive reports. You will evaluate financial information to manage and document transactions related to employee benefit plans, including medical, dental, and retirement plans. Additionally, you will assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, which include posting entries and reconciling bank and general ledger accounts.

Work Environment
This position is based in our office and requires in-office attendance on specific days each week. Fuss & O'Neill promotes a hybrid work environment, allowing flexibility between working from home and the office.

Key Responsibilities
The Staff Accountant will also:
1. Support audits, reviews, and tax return preparations conducted by external entities.
2. Serve as a backup for accounts payable, payroll, and cash receipts functions.
3. Handle various ad hoc projects while effectively managing multiple tasks and prioritizing to meet deadlines.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting and a minimum of three years of relevant experience (an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered).
- Knowledge of general accounting principles.
- Familiarity with Deltek Vantagepoint and UltiPro is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Experience in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (A/E/C) industry is preferred.
