Job Title: Regional Medicaid Pending Specialist

The primary objective of this role is to provide support to all iCare Health Network managed facilities with Medicaid Pending cases and collections, while offering guidance, direction, and leadership to on-site facility business office staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and track all Medicaid Pending cases
  • Meet with families and responsible parties to assist in the Medicaid Pending process
  • Maintain ongoing contact with DSS regarding open cases and paystarts
  • Ensure monthly AR reviews are completed and communicate systemic major cases to the VP of RCM
  • Provide training and support to Business Office staff
  • Offer back-up support during business office vacancies
  • Maintain/Reduce Write-Off level
  • Maintain an ongoing list of T-19 pending/status - follow up with SNFs monthly
  • Monitor the collection process
  • Audit and review standardized tracking systems
Qualifications:
  • Working knowledge of various software programs
  • Experience in long term care business office functions
  • Knowledge of Medicaid billing procedures
  • At least 5 years experience in Medicaid pending procedures
  • Bachelors in Accounting, Finance or related area (preferred)
  • Highly organized with strong verbal and written communication skills
