Collections Specialist

Responsibilities:
• Manage collections primarily through email, ensuring timely payments while maintaining professionalism.
• Perform tasks related to the general ledger, AR aging, and maintain financial dashboards.
• Review and verify customer billing, ensuring the accuracy of project numbers and purchase orders.
• Perform manual data entry tasks related to AR processes using Excel, including Pivot Tables and Vlookups.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams such as Sales and Project Management to ensure alignment on billing.
• Handle communications with customers in a polite, professional manner, avoiding aggressive collection tactics.
• Support the company's operations, which include serving over 1,300 global clients.
• Utilize skills in Accounts Receivable (AR), Billing Functions, Collection Processes, General Ledger, Heavily-Outbound, VLOOKUP, Pivot Table, and Purchase Orders.
• Maintain a professional and patient demeanor when dealing with customers and internal stakeholders.• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Collections Specialist or similar role in the manufacturing industry
• Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR) and Billing Functions
• Demonstrated experience in Collection Processes and General Ledger
• Expertise in handling Heavily-Outbound tasks
• Proficient in using VLOOKUP and Pivot Table in Excel
• Experience in managing Purchase Orders
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Proven ability to meet and exceed collection targets
• Relevant certification or degree in finance, accounting, or related field is preferred.
