Sealed Air Corporation is seeking a dedicated Manufacturing Helper to support our production team. In this role, you will assist Machine Operators in the safe and efficient operation of production machinery, with a strong focus on safety and product quality. This position offers valuable training and experience, paving the way for advancement to a Machine Operator role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the safe operation of production machinery to ensure the production of high-quality products through continuous monitoring and adjustments of gauges that regulate speed, temperature, and pressure.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Ensure timely production of orders to meet customer demands and production targets.
- Participate in product labeling, packing, and wrapping, while helping to supply the production line.
- Conduct required quality inspections, testing, and documentation to maintain product standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in compliance with company housekeeping standards and 6S practices.
- Assist in routine preventative maintenance tasks.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic skills in math, reading, and computer usage.
- Strong commitment to safety practices.
- Ability to think critically and solve problems effectively.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Completion of college-level courses or trade school is preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience operating cranes, forklifts, and other related equipment.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent standing, walking, and bending.
- Ability to push, pull, and lift items weighing at least 30 lbs.
- Good eye/hand coordination.
