Position Summary:
This pivotal role will act as a strategic partner, ensuring the effective design, implementation, and management of a variety of HR initiatives that align with the agency's objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the rollout of new HR policies, processes, and initiatives while contributing to various HR projects.
  • Oversee talent programs that enhance corporate social responsibility and performance management.
  • Conduct orientation sessions for new hires and regular check-ins with employees and managers.
  • Manage employee relations issues and investigations, particularly at the staff to mid-manager level, to mitigate organizational risks.
  • Provide timely advice and support to management on HR-related matters.
  • Serve as the primary contact for immigration inquiries and manage relevant documentation.
  • Collaborate with the Benefits team to oversee leaves of absence, including short-term and long-term disability, as well as FMLA.
  • Drive initiatives focused on employee engagement, retention, and talent management.
  • Work with HR leadership to develop action plans based on employee engagement survey results.
  • Offer guidance on corporate policies and benefits programs to employees.
  • Conduct exit interviews for departing employees.
  • Disseminate internal communications regarding benefits, events, and important updates.
  • Assist in planning cultural initiatives and leading company events.
  • Ensure compliance with local employment laws and regulations.
  • Maintain the integrity of employee data and effectively utilize HRIS technology.

Qualifications:

  • Fluency in Spanish is advantageous.
  • Proven experience in implementing HR practices and procedures.
  • Experience in an agency environment is preferred.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both in-person and remotely.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and prioritization abilities.
  • A proactive learner with a natural curiosity and problem-solving mindset.
  • A collaborative team player who contributes ideas in a cooperative environment.
  • Professional demeanor with the ability to adapt quickly.
  • Sound judgment and quick decision-making abilities.
  • Capability to identify and address potential employee issues proactively.
  • Flexibility in collaborating with other HR and business functions.
  • Experience in benefits, immigration, and payroll is highly desirable.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of HR practices, policies, and relevant employment legislation.
  • 5-7 years of experience in a similar HR role.
