Job Overview

Position Title: Undersea Special Operations Program Analyst III

Summary:

KMS Solutions, LLC is in search of a seasoned analyst to deliver acquisition assistance to the Undersea Special Mission Systems program office. This office is tasked with a variety of critical missions, including the Assessment/Underwater Work System, Submarine Rescue System-Rescue Capable System, and the Submarine Rescue System-Submarine Decompression System. The role encompasses the coordination of research and development initiatives, acquisition processes, test and evaluation, and in-service support, along with recommendations for system certifications. The position specifically caters to the Special Operations Forces (SOF) branch.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide program management support for USSOCOM initiatives.
  • Assist in the review of technical specifications, negotiation of requirements, and resolution of technical feedback.
  • Engage with program sponsors, Navy fleet representatives, and the NAVSEA technical community.
  • Develop programmatic presentations for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Possess knowledge of program management and Department of Defense acquisition methodologies.
  • Perform additional related tasks as assigned.
  • Support and accompany clients in ad-hoc meetings, which may require travel or in-office presence.

Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in engineering/science management, operations research analysis, financial/cost analysis, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience with Navy acquisition and/or In-Service Programs, including experience leading projects and interfacing with end-item customers.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience within a Navy Program Office.
  • Familiarity with the Department of Navy and NAVSEA operations.
  • 5 or more years of experience working with Undersea Programs.
  • Understanding of Deep Submergence Systems Scope of Certification.

Additional Requirements:

  • Active SECRET DoD security clearance is mandatory.

Work Environment:

This position operates within a professional office setting, utilizing standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, and photocopiers.

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands outlined here are representative of those required for successful performance of this role. Regular communication is essential, and excellent listening skills are crucial. The role frequently requires standing, walking, using hands for manipulation, and reaching with arms.

Work Schedule:

The standard workday consists of eight hours, with some flexibility allowed upon supervisor approval. Employees must be available during core hours and maintain full-time status.

Telework Policy:

This position allows for a hybrid work arrangement, consisting of 50% on-site and 50% remote work.

Travel Requirements:

Up to 15% travel may be necessary, both within the continental United States and internationally.
