The Strategic Division (SD) serves high-reliability organizations, including Navy Strategic Systems Programs (SSP), Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center, and the Department of Energy (DOE), among others.

Our support for clients is rapidly expanding and includes essential services such as data analytics and visualization, threat assessment, risk management, modeling and simulation, cost estimation, earned value management, program oversight, systems engineering, independent evaluation, and prevention of High Consequence Events.

The Strategic Systems Analysis Group (SSAG) assists both government and private sector strategic planning, decision-making, and program management.
SSAG combines deep client insight, advanced analytics, and subject matter expertise to deliver timely and objective technical, operational, programmatic, acquisition, and policy analysis.

SPA is seeking a Financial Program Analyst to support a dynamic program for Navy Strategic Systems Programs.

Key Responsibilities:
The Financial Program Analyst will deliver financial assistance to the Navy SLCM-N program, concentrating on financial planning for system acquisition and development initiatives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Financial planning and coordination of program-wide activities;
  • Supporting the development of integrated budgets and POM submissions;
  • Maintaining and updating the NEPS database;
  • Collaborating closely with the program financial team and technical leadership to establish and prioritize objectives.

This position offers opportunities for travel to client and industry stakeholder locations.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Business Management, Finance, Accounting, Science, Engineering, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- U.S. Citizen with active DoD clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain clearance.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, particularly in finance, accounting, or budget analysis.

- Strong analytical skills, critical thinking, and proficiency in computer skills, including experience with database management and the ability to quickly learn databases utilized in Navy financial planning/tracking.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, with advanced skills in Excel (including pivot tables, charts/graphs, vlookup, and other basic math functions).

- Professional knowledge of Defense procurement and administrative processes.


Desired Qualifications:
- Detailed experience with NEPS.
- Familiarity with Navy acquisition program office organizations and processes.
- Experience with the U.S. Navy Budget and PPBE process.
