Established in 2005, we are a certified small business with extensive experience in supporting various governmental departments, particularly the Department of Defense, in critical missions that ensure national security.
Role Summary:
This role entails providing essential support for the engineering and programmatic initiatives aimed at modernizing Non-Propulsion Electronic Systems (NPES) and associated equipment on submarines. The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in reviewing, approving, and planning the installation of NPES system upgrades, directly impacting the operational readiness of the submarine fleet. The individual will develop expertise in NPES and will be instrumental in guiding significant programmatic decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engineering and technical support for the oversight, analysis, evaluation, and maintenance of submarine modernization documentation.
- Facilitate the review and approval process for various documentation including Justification Cost Forms (JCFs), Ship Alteration Records (SARs), Engineering Change Instructions (ECIs), and more, in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain comprehensive records of modernization documentation within appropriate data management systems.
- Provide weekly metrics and status updates on modernization documentation to the In-Service Program Manager, ensuring timely reviews and approvals.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is required.
- At least 5 years of experience within Navy, NAVSEA, or Naval Shipyard environments is essential.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Submarine Non-Propulsion Electronic Systems or Hull, Mechanical, Electrical Systems is highly advantageous.
- Familiarity with Configuration Management processes is preferred.
Skills and Competencies:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, along with strong presentation abilities.
- Ability to interact effectively with military and organizational personnel at all levels.
- Demonstrated reliability and initiative in a dynamic work environment with shifting priorities.
Additional Requirements:
Security Clearance: An active Secret clearance is mandatory.
Work Environment:
This position is based in a professional office setting, utilizing standard office equipment such as computers and telecommunication devices.
Physical Requirements:
The role necessitates regular communication and interaction, requiring excellent listening skills. The employee may need to stand, walk, and use hands for various tasks.
Work Schedule:
The standard work schedule is eight hours, typically from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, with some flexibility available.
Telework Policy:
Telework options are available up to 40%, contingent on customer needs.
Travel Requirements:
Occasional travel within the continental United States (up to 10%) may be necessary.
