Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Representative to join our team at BJC HealthCare. As a Patient Access Representative, you will be the first point of contact for our patients and will play a critical role in ensuring a positive patient experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize critical thinking skills to problem solve a variety of situations, anticipating patients' needs and being able to respond to them.
  • Communicate in a professional, positive, and patient-focused manner with all patients, families, and co-workers.
  • Register and schedule patients, verify insurance, and collect applicable patient payments.
  • Ensure accurate patient records and maintain knowledge and competence with insurance carriers, Medicare guidelines, and federal, state, and accreditation agencies.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • No experience required, but an Associate's Degree is preferred.
  • CHAA certification is a plus.
