Job Overview

Position Summary

inFocus Payroll LLC is seeking a dedicated full-time Payroll Specialist. This role is crucial in ensuring high-quality service delivery to our clients. The Payroll Specialist will engage with clients to gather necessary information for payroll processing and address tax-related inquiries. This position requires verification of payroll totals, resolution of client issues, and a commitment to exceptional customer service. Additionally, the Payroll Specialist will participate in training sessions.

Key Responsibilities

The essential duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing a portfolio of payroll clients based on their size and complexity across various services.
  • Daily communication with clients to collect payroll data, including salary modifications, special payments, tax distributions, and employee deductions, while establishing schedules.
  • Accurately entering all payroll-related information necessary for processing and adhering to deadlines.
  • Ensuring a high client retention rate through superior service.
  • Staying informed about payroll processing systems and updates in wage and tax regulations, liaising with federal, state, and local tax authorities on behalf of clients.
  • Maintaining organized client records.
  • Investigating and resolving client and system-related issues.
  • Building and sustaining positive relationships with clients, agencies, and colleagues to enhance service quality.
  • Contributing to training sessions.
  • Performing additional duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical institution, or three or more years of relevant office experience; or a combination of education and experience.
  • Strong understanding of payroll and payroll tax regulations is highly desirable.
  • Proficient in MS Office, data entry, and office equipment.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and prioritization capabilities.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
