Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Information Technology (IT) Systems Engineer. This role will primarily concentrate on applications management, working collaboratively with fellow IT professionals to enhance knowledge through cross-training and delivering exceptional support. Responsibilities include providing advanced assistance to the Service Desk, overseeing IT projects, and developing/testing technical modifications prior to implementation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Standardize, configure, and operationalize the deployment of desktop applications.
  • Manage software licenses across various applications.
  • Provide comprehensive support for AutoDesk, Bentley, and ESRI software platforms.
  • Collaborate with diverse software and support teams to resolve production issues.
  • Implement and test application modifications during after-hours.
  • Serve as an escalation point for the Service Desk regarding application-related inquiries.
  • Maintain and manage the PDQ Deploy & Inventory platform to ensure timely updates of applications.
  • Oversee the maintenance of over 300 desktop applications, including AutoDesk, Bentley, and ESRI software platforms.
  • Manage imaging, distribution, and inventory tracking of workstations and office-specific IT equipment.
  • Provide hands-on support, IT training, and troubleshooting for office personnel as requested by the IT Service Desk.
  • Administer the office network, server, and internet environment.
  • Offer guidance and mentorship to junior IT staff.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree (AA) from a two-year college or technical school, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. A Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in technical support roles focusing on infrastructure or application management.
  • Experience supporting a virtual workstation setup.
  • Proficient in workstation and server operating systems such as Windows, Linux variants, and VMWare.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective listening and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects efficiently.
  • Professional handling of objections and challenges.
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules.
  • Aptitude for learning new technologies and IT concepts.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to operate a motor vehicle for company purposes.
  • Ability to communicate complex data clearly in both verbal and written formats.
  • Analytical skills to address complex technological challenges and provide effective solutions.
  • Basic math skills as required for the position.
  • Experience with application deployment automation (SCCM or similar).
  • Willingness to work independently as the final resource for application issues and escalate to software vendors when necessary.
  • Preferred experience in engineering application support (AutoCAD, MicroStation, ArcGIS, etc.).
  • Certifications related to experience are preferred to demonstrate expertise in areas such as workstations, servers, applications & automation, virtualization, or cloud technologies.

Compensation Range

$81,000 - $126,400.00. The displayed compensation range aligns with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act and California's SB 1162. Final compensation is determined based on various factors such as education, qualifications, skills, experience, competencies, and work location. The total annual package may include a base salary and eligibility for performance and discretionary incentive bonuses after a qualifying period.
