The RFID Field Engineer serves as a key technical authority in the domain of Radio Frequency Identification systems, contributing to significant modernization initiatives. Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and guide the workflow of the technical team, providing direction and strategic recommendations.
- Formulate and implement plans aimed at optimizing site operations, generating progress reports, and collaborating with team members.
- Deliver on-site technical expertise in passive Radio Frequency Identification (pRFID) systems, ensuring effective functionality of electronic devices and interconnected systems.
- Conduct research and development activities for electronic components tailored for various applications, including military and industrial sectors.
- Design and innovate electronic circuits for telecommunications and control systems.
- Oversee installation teams, ensuring all project staff are effectively managed and supported.
- Advise on hardware and infrastructure configurations, considering facility-specific characteristics.
- Analyze communication protocol requirements, adapting to dynamic operational conditions.
- Contribute to the advancement of wireless communication protocols to streamline logistics operations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues within systems and components, addressing interference and noise challenges.
- Utilize RF engineering methodologies to enhance system performance.
- Provide ongoing engineering support and optimization insights for deployed products and infrastructure.
- Establish and execute testing and qualification protocols for wireless communication and data acquisition systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline; a Master's degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in Electronics or Electrical Engineering with a focus on field support.
- Proficient understanding of IoT, RFID technologies, and network engineering principles.
- Familiarity with deployment considerations and facility-specific nuances.
- Knowledgeable in RF hardware systems and testing methodologies.
- Demonstrates a professional, detail-oriented work ethic.
- Excellent verbal and written communication capabilities.
- Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Active Secret clearance is preferred; candidates must meet eligibility requirements for a Secret level clearance.
