At Ambercare, we are seeking a skilled Payroll Operations Coordinator to join our team in Albuquerque, NM. In this entry-level position, you will be responsible for performing the payroll function, including the entry and processing of detailed time records and other data to produce payrolls.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year of home care office administration or data entry experience. You will be customer service-oriented, computer literate, and have excellent typing skills. Additionally, you must be well-organized with excellent attention to detail.

As a Payroll Operations Coordinator, you will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of time and attendance data necessary to process payroll, including data entry of mileage and other reimbursements. You will also ensure the accurate use of pay codes and pay rates for services, following wage and hour guidelines.

The salary for this position is approximately $45,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision benefits, as well as a monthly bonus, continued education opportunities, and a PTO plan.

As a Payroll Operations Coordinator, you will be responsible for:

  • Performing payroll processing, including data entry and processing of time records and other data.
  • Ensuring accurate use of pay codes and pay rates for services, following wage and hour guidelines.
  • Auditing entry of specific types of entries to payroll by other staff.
  • Adhering to internal control processes, including payroll balancing and other internal controls for SOX compliance.
  • Effectively communicating with staff on payroll issues for resolution.
  • Performing rate and payroll entry for special programs, as requested.
  • Assisting with, reviewing, and following up on payroll reports, as requested.
  • Reviewing new and terminated employees' reports weekly to ensure all rates are entered for new employees.
  • Maintaining confidentiality of all payroll information.
