We are seeking a dedicated individual to fill the role of Culinary Station Supervisor within our Culinary Department. This position is designed for a 0.9 FTE (36 hours per week) schedule, primarily during the day from 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM, with responsibilities including working every third weekend and two holidays annually.

POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Culinary Station Supervisor plays a crucial role in the preparation and presentation of meals for patients, catering services, and cafeteria offerings. Key responsibilities include:

  • Pre-dishing patient food items and assembling patient trays.
  • Ensuring sanitation and maintenance of the culinary department.
  • Adhering to all food safety and quality standards.
  • Providing oversight of the culinary team in the absence of senior management.
  • Exhibiting a high level of execution in all departmental processes and procedures.
  • Training new team members and understanding the core responsibilities of all positions within the department.
  • Competently staffing all kitchen roles, including Cold Cook, Breakfast Cook, Front of House, and Ware Washer, as needed.
  • Performing duties of the Culinary Ambassador and/or Barista as assigned.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
To be considered for this position, candidates should possess:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • ServSafe Food Manager certification, which must be obtained within four months of employment or within three attempts.
  • Knowledge of therapeutic diets is advantageous.
  • Prior experience in institutional cooking or food service is desirable.

Shift Details: 5:30 AM - 2 PM, with weekend and holiday commitments.

FTE: 36 hours per week.
