Key Responsibilities
  • Examine and interpret medical documentation, pinpointing critical issues and potential liabilities.
  • Create detailed medical chronologies and summaries to aid legal processes.
  • Contribute medical insights to shape case strategies.
  • Collaborate with attorneys to identify and engage expert witnesses as necessary.
  • Participate in client interviews and depositions, providing essential medical expertise.
  • Stay informed on medical advancements, standards of care, and pertinent legal matters.
  • Assist in developing educational resources and presentations for legal personnel.
Required Qualifications
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
  • At least 7 years of clinical nursing experience, ideally in a relevant specialty.
  • Strong grasp of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and disease processes.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proven capability to analyze intricate medical data and derive meaningful conclusions.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, adept at managing multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal software applications.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification in Legal Nurse Consulting (CLNC) or a related discipline.
  • Experience in a legal environment or working alongside attorneys.
  • Knowledge of medical coding and billing practices.
  • Demonstrated project management skills and the ability to work autonomously.
  • Advanced degree in nursing or a related healthcare field.
