Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our Infant/Toddler Program team at the Archdiocese of San Antonio. As an Infant/Toddler Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development of our youngest learners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Planning and Implementation: Develop and implement lesson plans that are aligned with the Texas Minimum Standards and the Texas Rising Star Program, ensuring a developmentally appropriate curriculum that meets the needs of each child.
  • Child Assessment and Progress Monitoring: Assess each child's level of development and track their progress, using this information to inform instruction and make data-driven decisions.
  • Classroom Management and Supervision: Direct daily classroom activities, using positive guidance techniques to promote social-emotional learning and a positive classroom environment.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Establish and maintain effective relationships with parents and families, providing regular updates on their child's progress and involving them in the educational process.
  • Staff Supervision and Support: Provide guidance, leadership, and technical assistance to assigned assistant teachers, promoting a culture of teamwork and collaboration.
  • Center Operations and Compliance: Ensure that the classroom is operated in compliance with the Texas Minimum Standards and the Texas Rising Star Program, maintaining accurate records and reporting any incidents or concerns to the Director.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED, with a minimum of one year of experience in an early childhood program serving infants and toddlers in a developmentally appropriate environment.
  • Certifications and Training: Must have, or be willing to obtain, 24 Pre-Service hours and the required 30 clock hours of Early Childhood Education for The Texas Rising Star Program, as well as Infant and Child CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Personal Qualities: Must have a strong commitment to providing high-quality early childhood education, a positive attitude, and excellent communication skills.
