Key Responsibilities- Child Development and Education
- Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to the unique needs and abilities of each child.
- Conduct developmental screenings to assess children's motor, language, social, cognitive, perceptual, and emotional skills.
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment that encourages children to explore, learn, and grow.
- Child Safety and Well-being
- Ensure the physical and emotional safety of children at all times.
- Develop and implement strategies to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Respond promptly and effectively in emergency situations.
- Communication and Collaboration
- Maintain open and transparent communication with parents and guardians.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive team environment.
- Participate in staff training and professional development opportunities.
- Administrative Tasks
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of children's progress and development.
- Prepare and submit reports as required.
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed.
- Education
- Infant and Toddler CDA (Child Development Associate Credential) is required.
- Associate in Early Childhood Education or Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education or related field with 18 hours in Early Childhood Education is preferred.
- Experience
- At least six months of experience in a licensed childcare facility or in a public/private school or early childhood facility is preferred.
- Skills
- CPR and First Aid Training is required.
- Computer literacy and proficiency in assigned databases, software, and systems is required.
- Strong organizational and time management skills are essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.
- Spanish fluency is helpful but not required.
The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. The position requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The candidate must be able to lift, bend, and move children as needed. The position also requires the ability to work in a variety of settings, including classrooms, playgrounds, and community centers.
