Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to lead our Child Life Services department as the Director of Pediatric Services. This is a full-time position that requires a strong background in child life and pediatric care, as well as excellent leadership and management skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the financial and clinical management of Child Life Services, including budgeting, resource allocation, and staff supervision.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure high-quality patient care and family-centered services.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate patient- and family-centered care principles into hospital policies and practices.
  • Develop and maintain community partnerships and special events to promote child advocacy and support.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Child Life or a related field.
  • Completion of a 600-hour child life internship under the supervision of a Certified Child Life Specialist.
  • Bilingual - English/Spanish preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years paid experience as a Certified Child Life Specialist.
  • 2 years of experience in a children's hospital.
  • 7+ years of leadership experience preferred.
  • Maintain Child Life Certification.
  • CPR certification required within 90 days of hire.
