Position Summary:
We are seeking a Culinary Operations Coordinator to collaborate closely with food service management to ensure the effective execution of various culinary projects.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Supervise and engage in all aspects of food production, including meal preparation, inventory oversight, and sanitation practices, under the guidance of the Dietitian.
2. Assist in crafting specialized recipes and evaluating diverse test products. Participate in discussions with the Supervisory Dietitian and research scientists regarding project specifics.
3. Manage inventory and procurement processes to guarantee the availability of necessary supplies and equipment.
4. Ensure operational safety and cleanliness of culinary facilities and equipment, perform minor repairs, and coordinate maintenance as needed.
5. Accurately measure and prepare food according to specified menus for a diverse range of subjects, potentially serving up to 90 individuals with multiple menu items.

Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma or GED required.

Experience:
Minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in commercial or institutional food service, with at least two years in a supervisory role.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Comprehensive understanding of large-scale food preparation and service methodologies.
- Proficient in food selection, preservation, preparation, and portion control standards.
- Familiarity with food service equipment and materials.
- Knowledge of applicable health and sanitation regulations.
- Strong ability to guide and supervise food service personnel.
- Capable of organizing and coordinating food service operations to ensure quality delivery.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work in challenging environments and manage physical demands associated with the role.

Additional Information:
Must possess a valid driver's license. Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand or walk for extended periods. Finger dexterity is necessary for tasks such as using a keyboard.
