Position Overview

As a Lead Environmental Resource Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity and compliance of environmental projects. Grounded in principles of safety, quality, and ethical standards, our team is dedicated to fostering a diverse and inclusive environment that values various talents and backgrounds.

Your Role

We are seeking an experienced professional with a minimum of 5 years in preparing environmental documentation in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), specifically focusing on hydrogeologic resources. In this capacity, you will assist in the evaluation and analysis of natural resources across a wide array of projects, catering to federal, state, and local clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive impact assessments across various natural resources.
  • Prepare and review NEPA documents, including Environmental Assessments (EAs) and Environmental Impact Statements (EISs).
  • Evaluate baseline reports and groundwater flow models.
  • Determine jurisdictional boundaries for waters of the United States.
  • Develop water monitoring and mitigation strategies, as well as conduct wetland delineations.
  • Assess hydrogeologic conditions and provide related expertise.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A thorough understanding of environmental impact analysis methodologies and NEPA regulations.
  • Experience in reviewing groundwater flow models and conducting associated impact analyses.
  • Strong analytical skills in water quality reporting and geochemical sampling data.
  • Familiarity with water rights and western water law.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a proven ability to work collaboratively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with mapping software such as ArcGIS is advantageous.

Education and Experience

A Bachelor’s degree in hydrology, hydrogeology, environmental science, or a related field is required, along with at least 5 years of relevant experience. A Master’s degree is preferred but not mandatory.
