Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Lead Geological Consultant to become an integral part of our team in the Rocky Mountain region. Our experts utilize cutting-edge technologies and innovative methodologies to conduct environmental assessments, investigations, and remediation efforts, contributing to a cleaner and safer planet for future generations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct a variety of geological and environmental tasks, both in the field and in the office, applying established principles and theories.
  • Perform independent fieldwork, collecting various types of data relevant to assigned projects.
  • Oversee soil, surface water, groundwater, sediment, and other environmental sampling activities.
  • Manage soil classification and sampling during drilling, test pitting, and excavation processes.
  • Prioritize health and safety while executing field projects.
  • Document field activities, including hazard analyses, project reports, field notes, and sampling records.
  • Assist in geological and environmental analysis, including hydrogeology and geochemistry.
  • Interpret environmental sample results in relation to geological contexts.
  • Create visual representations of environmental data, including maps and cross-sections.
  • Develop work plans and reports with technical oversight.
  • Support proposal preparation and cost estimation processes.
  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure timely and budget-compliant project completion.
  • Provide guidance to junior geologists or environmental scientists as needed.
  • Advise senior management on geology-related matters.
  • Manage site investigation projects of varying scopes.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Geology or a related discipline, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • A Master's Degree in Geology or a related field is preferred.
  • Professional Geologist certification is advantageous.
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in environmental consulting, encompassing both office and fieldwork.
  • Familiarity with environmental regulations (e.g., CERCLA, RCRA) is beneficial.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement, balancing time between the office and field locations.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel for fieldwork.
  • Physical capability to perform tasks that may involve extended periods of standing, walking on uneven terrain, and lifting.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
