Kearns & West is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Environmental Projects to join our growing team. This role will play a crucial part in guiding complex environmental projects, fostering collaboration among diverse stakeholders, and ensuring successful project outcomes.

As the Director of Environmental Projects, you will be responsible for leading and managing a variety of projects related to environmental planning, policy development, and community engagement. Your expertise will be instrumental in navigating intricate environmental challenges and delivering impactful solutions.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership for all aspects of environmental project execution, from initiation to completion.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, ensuring alignment with client objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Effectively manage project budgets, resources, and timelines, delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, consultants, and community representatives, facilitating open communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct thorough research, analysis, and data interpretation to inform project decisions and recommendations.
  • Prepare clear and concise reports, presentations, and other documentation to effectively communicate project progress and findings to diverse audiences.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
Qualifications:

We are seeking an exceptional candidate with a proven track record of success in environmental project management. The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in environmental management, natural resource management, environmental science, public policy, or a related field. A Master's degree or other advanced degree is preferred.
  • Extensive experience managing complex environmental projects, including stakeholder engagement and community outreach.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse audiences.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
