Position Overview:
ERM is in search of a dedicated Senior Environmental Consultant specializing in Engineering, Geology, or Science to enhance our dynamic team.

Role Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will engage in remediation initiatives primarily within the northeast region. This role will involve:

  • Providing expert technical support on site assessments and remediation, ensuring compliance with environmental health and safety regulations.
  • Conducting field operations, which include:
    • Overseeing subcontractors and ensuring utility clearances.
    • Executing soil and bedrock drilling, characterization, and sampling.
    • Installing monitoring wells and conducting test pit excavations.
    • Performing various sampling activities for soil, sediment, groundwater, and surface water.
    • Utilizing geophysical techniques for subsurface investigations.
    • Carrying out aquifer testing and monitoring remedial system performance.
  • Assisting in the planning of project activities, including health and safety protocols.
  • Preparing necessary documentation such as plans, permits, and reports related to site characterization and compliance programs.
  • Recording data and aiding in the technical presentation of findings through reports and visual aids.
  • Conducting environmental site assessments to facilitate property transactions.
  • Offering general environmental compliance support to clients as required.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering; Geology; Environmental Science; or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in environmental fieldwork.
  • The ability to perform field assignments independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical abilities, with experience in documenting technical data.
  • A detail-oriented mindset with mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • The capacity to manage multiple projects while adhering to deadlines.
  • A commitment to safety and adherence to established health protocols.
  • A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Preferred Qualifications:
While not mandatory, the following are advantageous:

  • Experience in remediation equipment operations and maintenance.
  • Certification in OSHA HAZWOPER and as a Geologist or Professional Geologist.
  • Local candidates are encouraged to apply.

Compensation:
The anticipated annual base salary for this position ranges from $74,015 to $81,424, with potential for performance-based bonuses.
