Restaurant Operations Manager

Tender Greens is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting in the overall management of daily restaurant operations.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the management of daily restaurant operations, ensuring seamless execution of menu items and exceptional customer service.
- Lead by example, demonstrating exceptional customer service and fostering a positive and enthusiastic work environment.
- Ensure team members and managers adhere to established policies and procedures, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
- Assist in recruiting, onboarding, and training new team members, ensuring they meet the high standards of Tender Greens.
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance team members' skills and knowledge, promoting career growth and development.
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef to plan and direct food preparation, ensuring the highest level of food quality, taste, and presentation.
- Supervise restaurant opening and closing procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation.
- Assist in daily catering orders, creating daily prep lists, and managing inventory levels.
- Conduct line checks and oversee kitchen checklists, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
- Manage open repair items and assist with daily administrative duties as needed.
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Hospitality, Restaurant Management, Culinary Arts, or equivalent education and work experience.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, including coaching, directing, and motivating a team.
- Solid base knowledge of culinary technique and its practical application.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on restaurant needs.
- Commitment to continuing culinary development in both technique and perspective.
- Proficient in MS Office, Google Docs, and Aloha Point of Sale.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a positive and outgoing personality.
- Ongoing current Food Safety Manager certification.
- Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis.
- Repetitive forward bend of head/neck.
- Some bending, kneeling, stooping, twisting, and reaching required.
- Some repetitive motion and force required.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
- Ability to work in a stationary, seated position as needed.
- Ability to work in a hot kitchen environment.
- Sight, speech, and hearing necessary to communicate with team members, vendors, and guests.
