Role Summary:
The Ecosystem Security & Integrity (ESI) division is a key Global Risk team dedicated to maintaining the security and integrity of the payment ecosystem by preventing illegal and fraudulent activities. This is accomplished through the implementation of risk quality control and compliance initiatives, guided by Visa Rules and additional client protocols. ESI collaborates with various internal and external stakeholders to advance its mission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of the Global Gambling Acquirer underwriting process, assessing the effectiveness of controls that Acquirers implement to onboard and manage merchants within Visa's Integrity Risk Program.
  • Perform ongoing risk assessments of Acquirers under Visa's Integrity Risk framework, ensuring continuous monitoring.
  • Facilitate on-site audits of Acquirers or coordinate audits through third-party vendors.
  • Support Visa's Close Monitoring initiative, managing risks and threats posed by ecosystem participants that exceed Visa's defined risk tolerance.
  • Collaborate with MSA and Account Executives to share insights, evaluate mitigating strategies, and ensure accountability across functions for timely remediation.
  • Work alongside the Visa Integrity Risk Program Management Office to conduct periodic industry reviews of high-risk activities and recommend enhancements to ensure ongoing program effectiveness.

Work Environment:
This position operates in a hybrid model, allowing employees to alternate between remote work and office attendance. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to be in the office two days a week, with a general expectation of being present 50% of the time based on business requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Basic: A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with a bachelor's degree, or 2 years of experience with an advanced degree, or no experience with a PhD.

  • Preferred: 6 or more years of experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 4 years with an Advanced Degree, or up to 3 years with a PhD.
  • Experience in the Visa or Payments industry, focusing on Acquirer risk management and merchant underwriting.
  • Proven relationship and client management skills.
  • Familiarity with audit or underwriting processes.
  • A flexible and innovative thinker with strong execution capabilities.

Additional Information:
Work Hours: Varies based on departmental needs.
Travel Requirements: This role may require travel up to 10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: The position is office-based, requiring the ability to sit and stand at a desk, communicate effectively, and operate standard office equipment.
