Hotel Front Office Manager Job Description

Job Summary:

The Hotel Front Office Manager is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the front office department, providing exceptional customer service to guests, and leading a team of front office staff. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the front office team, including hiring, training, and scheduling staff
  • Provide exceptional customer service to guests, responding to their needs and resolving any issues
  • Monitor and maintain the front office area, ensuring it is clean and organized
  • Manage the front office budget, including controlling expenses and optimizing revenue
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as housekeeping and engineering, to ensure seamless operations
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty

Requirements:

  • High school degree or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred
  • At least four years of progressive front office experience, with two years in a managerial role
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and evening hours as needed

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for long periods, walk, and reach
  • Ability to push, pull, and lift objects up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to maintain body equilibrium and climb stairs
