Healthcare Education Coordinator

Location: DeSoto, TX

Williamsburg Village Healthcare Campus is seeking a dedicated Healthcare Education Coordinator to enhance our clinical training initiatives.

The primary responsibility of the Healthcare Education Coordinator is to ensure that our facilities have access to comprehensive clinical education programs tailored for frontline staff.

The focus areas of clinical education encompass, but are not limited to:

  • Leadership development
  • Clinical skills enhancement
  • Standards of care education
  • Competency training
  • Orientation for new employees

These educational programs are designed to fulfill the training requirements of both our facilities and corporate objectives, aligning with the mission and vision of Williamsburg Village Healthcare Campus.

Minimum Qualifications:

· Valid RN licensure, with a compact license preferred.

· In-depth knowledge of state and federal regulations and standards of care.

· At least five years of experience in long-term care, ideally in roles such as Director of Nursing, Nurse Consultant, or Administrator.

· Proficient in preparing written communications and reports tailored to the audience.

· Ability to present ideas and concepts effectively, fostering understanding and acceptance among staff.

· Capacity to learn and adapt to new clinical software for training purposes.

· Required management or supervisory experience.

· Willingness to travel frequently to various client locations, including overnight stays as necessary.

Essential Duties:

· Oversee and coordinate training programs across all facilities.

· Develop standard training outlines, documentation, timelines, and necessary materials for educational programs.

· Train Staff Development Coordinators or designated personnel responsible for training at each facility.

· Conduct audits of training program content to ensure compliance.

· Assist facilities in achieving and maintaining high-quality clinical education and training standards.

· Ensure that programs include competencies and return demonstrations as required.

· Facilitate annual competency skills fairs.

· Analyze survey outcomes and provide targeted training for identified areas of improvement.

· Plan and oversee state and federally mandated in-service training programs.

· Maintain educational programs in accordance with best practice standards.

· Collaborate with the Learning Management System (LMS) to expand online training offerings.

· Develop accredited programs for licensure continuing education.

· Review and analyze state survey results and quality assurance data to inform needs assessments and action plans.

· Provide training and orientation for specific nursing positions.

· Support the coordination of Certified Nursing Assistant training programs.
