Minimum Qualifications:
- Current, valid RN licensure; Compact license preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of state and federal regulations and standards of care.
- A minimum of five years of experience in long-term care, ideally in roles such as Director of Nursing, Nurse Consultant, or Administrator.
- Proficient in preparing written materials for diverse audiences.
- Ability to effectively introduce concepts and provide training that is credible and accepted.
- Capacity to learn new clinical software applications for training purposes.
- Management or supervisory experience is essential.
- Willingness to travel frequently to various client sites, including overnight stays.
Essential Duties:
- Coordinate and monitor training programs across facilities.
- Develop standard training outlines, documentation, and materials.
- Train Staff Development Coordinators or designated personnel in training responsibilities.
- Audit training content for compliance at the facility level.
- Assist facilities in achieving and maintaining high-quality clinical education and training.
- Ensure programs include competencies and return demonstrations as necessary.
- Support annual competency skills fairs.
- Review survey outcomes and provide targeted training for improvement.
- Plan and oversee required in-service programs.
- Maintain programs in accordance with best practice standards.
- Collaborate with Learning Management Systems for online training expansion.
- Develop approved programs for licensure contact hours.
- Analyze state survey and quality assurance results to inform training needs and action plans.
- Facilitate training and orientation for nursing positions.
- Assist in coordinating C.N.A. training programs.
