Itron is evolving our quality protocols to a unified global Quality Management System and is in search of a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to create, enhance, and facilitate the implementation of standardized quality practices, methodologies, and processes throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead global Quality reporting, Key Performance Indicator (KPI) definition, and reporting dashboards.
  • Collaborate on the creation of Management Review Presentations with the Global QMS Audit Manager.
  • Conduct data analysis for all Quality System Data and spearhead global data mining initiatives.
  • Establish and promote improvement strategies across the organization.
  • Implement problem-solving methodologies and preventive measures, ensuring KPI performance, training, coaching, and process compliance.
  • Develop and support the formulation of Global QMS processes, oversee and drive procedure and methodology definitions, and ensure deployment and adherence.
  • Guarantee the effectiveness of Change Control Processes.
  • Provide Quality engineering assistance to the organization, ensuring consistent application of quality techniques such as:
    • Capability, tolerancing, and materials-related issues.
    • Process stability and capability assessments.
    • Advanced Product Quality Planning activities.
    • Control Plans and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
    • Statistical methodologies.
    • Measurement System Analysis tools.
  • Effectively communicate and reinforce the commitment to quality enhancement initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in Quality Engineering.
  • Proven experience in defining and implementing Global Quality and Manufacturing Processes.
  • Experience in managing a certified quality management system.
  • Proficient in various quality techniques, including problem resolution methodologies, statistical techniques, Measurement System Analysis tools, Control Plans, FMEA, Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), gage R&R, and Risk Management.
  • Experience as an Internal Quality Auditor and project management.
  • Familiarity with Document and Change Control Processes.

Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field.

Certifications:

  • Proven history of driving continuous quality improvement in engineering and manufacturing settings.
  • Formal training and prior experience as an Internal Auditor for ISO 9001 systems.
  • Certification as a Quality Engineer is preferred.

Work Arrangement: This is a hybrid role with occasional on-site responsibilities.

Travel Requirements: Up to 15% travel may be necessary.
