Open Source Intelligence Specialist

Position Overview:
As an Open Source Intelligence Specialist, you will play a crucial role in enhancing national security through your expertise in data analysis and research methodologies. The rapid growth of digital information presents both opportunities and challenges for the Intelligence Community (IC). Your ability to navigate this vast landscape of data will be essential in transforming raw information into actionable intelligence.
Your Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough investigations utilizing open source intelligence (OSINT) and publicly available information (PAI) to support military operations and strategic initiatives.
- Develop and implement effective data collection strategies, ensuring compliance with national and service-specific OSINT policies.
- Utilize advanced analytical tools and methodologies to evaluate data, providing insights that inform decision-making processes.
- Collaborate with operational partners to integrate findings across various intelligence disciplines, enhancing overall mission effectiveness.
- Leverage programming skills in Python or R to customize tools for efficient data acquisition and analysis.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in OSINT analysis, including the development of collection plans and risk assessments.
- Proficient in all-source intelligence processes, with a strong understanding of data evaluation techniques and analytical databases.
- Expertise in internet-based research methodologies, including Boolean logic and the utilization of social media and commercial databases.
- Possess an active TS/SCI clearance and be prepared to undergo a polygraph examination.
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with advanced search techniques and data visualization tools.
- Familiarity with other intelligence disciplines such as signals intelligence (SIGINT) and human intelligence (HUMINT).
- Ability to manage and coordinate research efforts for long-term projects.
- A Master's degree in a related field is advantageous.
