The Cyber Intelligence Analyst II will undertake site lead responsibilities and assist the Operational Intelligence Division (OID), Office of Strategic Intelligence and Information (OSII), Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), and the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) in intelligence analysis and investigative support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Employ analytical methodologies to extract target information while aiding complex multi-defendant investigations.
  • Execute quality control measures to assess the validity and relevance of gathered information.
  • Develop and sustain computerized intelligence databases tailored to the division's needs, generating statistical and relational reports for management.
  • Collaborate with headquarters' intelligence research specialists and team members on various initiatives.
  • Provide guidance to team members based on specific findings and suggest suitable actions.
  • Conduct liaison and coordination tasks with counterparts and personnel across the intelligence and law enforcement sectors.
  • Gather, assess, analyze, and synthesize information from diverse sources, including raw intelligence, to produce valuable analytical products, reports, and documentation.
  • De-anonymize individuals or suspects as necessary.
  • Document and disseminate analytical conclusions effectively.
  • Utilize relevant databases, geospatial data, and resources to manage client relationships, identifying their needs and expectations.
  • Recognize intelligence gaps and contribute to the formulation of operational programs through regular analysis of message traffic and other information sources.
  • Coordinate with intelligence research specialists and team members to share information, resolve issues, and streamline multi-divisional efforts.
  • Prepare and deliver briefings on various intelligence subjects.
  • Recommend enhancements and modifications to existing systems.
  • Review and assess incoming intelligence data to ensure completeness and compliance with input requirements for established systems.
  • Compile and submit weekly status updates, intelligence reports, and presentation materials.
  • Complete mandatory training on computer security awareness and emergency protocols.
  • Initiate requests to guide tasking and assist in collection management.
  • Formulate query strategies against appropriate collection databases.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in intelligence analysis and reporting.
  • Experience in financial crimes investigations and/or with the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network/Office of Foreign Assets (FINCEN/OFAC).
  • Proficiency in Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) analysis.
  • Background check required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Familiarity with:
  • Intelligence analysis and reporting.
  • Cyber Intelligence methodologies.
  • Exploitation of social media and open-source information.
  • Navigating the dark web and conducting deep web searches.
  • De-anonymizing individuals or suspects.
  • Concepts and applications of virtual currency.
  • Federal law enforcement investigative techniques.
  • Microsoft Windows and MAC operating systems.
  • Knowledge of a foreign language, such as Chinese, Russian, or Spanish.
  • Prior experience with Semantica Pro, i2 Analyst Notebook, National Crime Information Center (NCIC), TECS, CLEAR, or Accurint.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a top-secret clearance.
  • Familiarity with commercial software for internet searches and social media analysis.
