The Cyber Intelligence Analyst II will undertake site lead responsibilities and assist the Operational Intelligence Division (OID), Office of Strategic Intelligence and Information (OSII), Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), and the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) in intelligence analysis and investigative support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Employ analytical methodologies to extract target information while aiding complex multi-defendant investigations.
  • Execute quality control measures to assess the validity and relevance of gathered information.
  • Develop and sustain computerized intelligence databases tailored to the division's specific requirements, generating statistical and relational reports for management.
  • Collaborate with headquarters' intelligence research specialists and fellow team members on initiatives.
  • Provide guidance to team members on findings and suggest suitable actions.
  • Conduct liaison and coordination activities with counterparts and personnel across the intelligence and law enforcement sectors.
  • Gather, assess, analyze, and synthesize information from diverse sources, including raw intelligence, into actionable analytical products, reports, and correspondence.
  • De-anonymize individuals or suspects as necessary.
  • Document and disseminate analytical findings effectively.
  • Utilize relevant databases, geospatial data, and resources to manage client relationships, identifying their needs and expectations.
  • Recognize intelligence gaps and contribute to the development of operational programs through regular analysis of message traffic and other intelligence sources.
  • Work with intelligence research specialists and team members to share information, resolve issues, eliminate redundancy, and coordinate multi-divisional efforts.
  • Prepare and deliver briefings on various intelligence topics.
  • Recommend enhancements and modifications to existing systems.
  • Review and assess incoming intelligence data to ensure completeness and compliance with established input requirements.
  • Compile and submit weekly status reports, intelligence reports, and presentation materials.
  • Complete mandatory training on computer security awareness and emergency procedures.
  • Initiate requests to guide tasking and assist in collection management.
  • Formulate and implement query strategies against appropriate collection databases.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in intelligence analysis and reporting.
  • Experience in financial crimes investigations and/or with the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FINCEN) or Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC).
  • Proficiency in Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) analysis.
  • Background check required.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of:

  • Cyber Intelligence methodologies.
  • Social media exploitation techniques.
  • Open-source information utilization.
  • Navigating the dark web and conducting deep web searches.
  • De-anonymization processes for individuals/suspects.
  • Concepts and applications of virtual currency.
  • Federal law enforcement investigative techniques.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and MAC operating systems.
  • Familiarity with commercial software for internet searches and social media analysis.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a top-secret clearance.
